When thinking about smart home devices, most people don’t typically think about Somfy let alone motorized window coverings. With the rising popularity in the smart home industry, Somfy wanted to take part in the noise but how?
The Strategy
Attention + Trust = Success
Yes, we could easily put together a PPC campaign and pump a lot of money behind it but there would still be one thing lacking and that is trust. In todays digital environment trust is becoming increasingly harder to gain and with the barrage of conflicting messages, consumers are finding it necessary to rely on friends and other connections for information. Thus became the plan, to identify, target, and partner with influencers who had already established trusted relationships with our target audience.
Campaign Execution
3 Influencers For Home & Design
The strategy involved seeking out 3 influencers within the home/design category that also had beautiful spaces within their home making for a perfect place to install motorized shades.
Once installations were completed, Influencers were tasked with producing content across 5 different platforms: Instagram, Facebook, Facebook live, Instagram stories, and their own blog. Influencers then produced high-quality photos and videos showing off their new smart window coverings as well as writing engaging articles on their newfound love for the product.
